A Decade of Innovation: How Click-Ins Perfected Visual Intelligence for Vehicle Inspections

At Click-Ins , we've always believed that a strong foundation is key to building a groundbreaking technology. This is why we dedicated the past decade to research and development, reinvesting every dollar raised into perfecting our AI-powered vehicle inspection platform. Our commitment to this rigorous process stems from the complexity of the problem we aimed to solve and our unwavering belief in delivering the best technology on the market.

Visual Intelligence: More Than Just a Buzzword

Visual Intelligence is the core of our approach at Click-Ins. Unlike many AI companies that focus solely on predictions, we emphasize a systematic engineering and methodological approach rooted in intelligence agency practices.

For us, Visual Intelligence (which uses perception, object recognition, scene understanding, visual reasoning, and visual learning) isn’t just about analyzing images to make predictions; it's about gathering intelligence from visual sources to build a complete and accurate picture.

The Science Behind Our Technology

Our technology leverages a combination of disciplines to ensure accuracy and reliability. These include:

  • Ontology of Vehicles: A unique framework we created to understand every aspect of a vehicle.
  • 3D Modeling: A comprehensive view of the vehicle’s structure through 3D simulation. We use 3D models to measure dimensions accurately, as well as to produce synthetic data.
  • Synthetic Data: Artificially created data that mimics real-world data, containing all the characteristics of production data minus sensitive content. It reduces the need for vast amounts of annotated data, addresses biases, and eliminates privacy concerns. According to a Gartner study, nearly 60% of all data in AI will be synthetic by the end of this year*.
  • Deep Learning (AI): An advanced form of machine learning that teaches computers to mimic human brain and perception. Deep learning models recognize complex patterns in pictures to produce insights and predictions. Our AI models use Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for image recognition, Deep reinforcement learning, Generative AI, to mention but a few.
  • Photogrammetry: The art and science of making measurements from photographs.
  • Computer Vision: Enabling computers to interpret and make decisions based on visual data.
  • Applied Mathematics and Geometry: Using fast and optimized algorithms to accelerate complex computations and spatial understanding.

By combining these disciplines, we minimize the common issue of AI "hallucinations" – incorrect predictions caused by flawed data or model limitations. Our approach ensures that our AI's predictions can be verified and validated, turning potential errors into accurate, actionable insights.

Building the Complete Picture

The concept of Visual Intelligence starts with visual data (images or videos – in our case, images) and uses it as if it was an intelligent data source. For us, it means determining whether we see a real car in an image, identifying the model, body style, parts, and any anomalies or damages. This process is akin to assembling a puzzle, where each piece of data contributes to the overall picture.

Our technology acts as a "smart scanner," interpreting visual information into structured data and transforming it into actionable knowledge. This allows us to produce detailed condition reports, providing precise measurements up to the inch and pinpointing every damage in its exact location.

The “Intelligence” Behind Visual Intelligence

My background in intelligence has heavily influenced our approach at Click-Ins. As an architect in law enforcement organizations and agencies, I designed and implemented intelligence systems where accuracy and reliability were paramount. This experience has been instrumental in shaping our technology. Our systematic approach is why it took us 10 years of R&D to develop Click-Ins. The problem we sought to solve was incredibly complex, and we refused to make any concessions on the quality and accuracy of our technology.

From day one, we used synthetic data to overcome limitations, ensuring our models could handle a wide range of real-world scenarios with precision. This approach allows us to control and manage our training sets, reducing bias and eliminating legal issues such as data ownership and privacy concerns.

By simulating diverse conditions, we accelerate problem resolution and ensure our AI remains unbiased and reliable.

Setting a New Standard in Vehicle Inspections

We often hear questions about why we have so many algorithms in our pipeline. The answer is simple: we built our technology with a quantitative approach, focusing on measuring and segmenting every part of an image. This ensures we know everything about an image, allowing our AI to process data and make accurate decisions.

Why This Matters

Our rigorous approach to Visual Intelligence and systematic engineering has paid off. Today, Click-Ins offers the most reliable AI-powered vehicle inspection technology on the market. We are proud to set a new standard in vehicle inspections, providing unparalleled value to our clients and helping them make better-informed decisions.

Our journey has been long, but it has made us the best in the industry. Click-Ins is not just another tech company; we are pioneers in using Visual Intelligence to solve complex problems. While our primary focus has been on the automotive industry, our technology can be applied to any business that requires precise image analysis and detailed reporting.

We are excited about the future and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
